Information about the costs of connecting
The connection fee is a one-time fee that the customer pays when connecting.
For new customers, water and waste water pipes will be built at the border of the plot in Haminan Vesi operating area. Outside the operating area, the property is responsible for the construction costs of the pipeline up to the connection point.
An additional connection fee is charged for buildings that are to be expanded and for additional construction when the floor area of the property increases by 10% or more.
The connection fee for small houses (detached houses and semi-detached houses with a floor area ≤ 300 m2) is € 4,194.00 VAT 0% (€ 5,263.47 incl. VAT 25.5%) in Haminan Vesi operating area. Parts that may be necessary for the installation of the water meter, such as valves, etc. will be billed separately.
If the water supply construction fees in the area differ significantly from the average, the connection fee can be increased by the area factor.
The floor area according to the property’s building permit is used as the floor area.
The connection fee can be calculated separately for water and wastewater by multiplying that by a service factor (0.5 water and 0.5 wastewater).
Connection through water cooperatives or private pipelines
Small houses (detached houses and semi-detached houses) connected through inseparable water cooperatives and Lelu water cooperative or private pipelines also pay the connection fee to Haminan Vesi. The customer is responsible for all construction costs.
Connection fee for water is € 1,190.00 VAT 0 % (€ 1,493.45 incl. VAT 25,5 %) and for waste water € 1,225.00 VAT 0 % (€ 1,537.38 incl. VAT 25,5 %).
